Transtolk Transporte
After working for twelve years as a driver for various transport companies in the fruit and vegetable sector, the time had come for Goof Stolk to start his own business. In 1961 he founded the company "Trasporti Internazionali G. Stolk" with his Mercedes 312 with open floor. In 1962 the German company EDEKA became a customer and the Mercedes was equipped with a tarpaulin. A second truck with trailer was also purchased.
Further expanding the customer base, already in 1965 seven trucks were driving to and from the Saarland. In 1966, another company was taken over by Goof Stolk, causing a significant increase in the number of permits. We also purchased a combination with insulated cargo containers. To ensure continuity during the quieter winter months, transport to Scandinavia began in 1968. After this date transport will also take place to a large number of new European countries. In 1985 Ton Stolk founded the company "Transtolk". A year later, the company was merged with "Internationaal Transtolk G. Stolk", which resulted in "Transtolk B.V".
